I have been teaching piano, violin, and viola students for more than 15 years.  I teach Piano and Music Theory at Wingate University near Charlotte, North Carolina, and I have previously taught at Adelphi University in New York, the State University of New York at Suffolk, and at the University of Washington in Seattle.  Outside the university level, I teach  workshops in the Charlotte area.  My job as a teacher is to enrich the musical experience of each student -- not only by advancing  instrumental technique, but by refining musicianship through the expansion of theoretical and historical knowledge, and most importantly, expanding artistic awareness in every student.

Me with six of my victims (students) after a studio recital.

I encourage my students to perform often -- to see my students perform, keep an eye on the performances page.
